Online education has become one of the most popular ways to learn in the UK in recent years, with 21% of British adults using some form of online learning. The E-learning sector is expected to be worth £276 billion by 2026, and obtaining a course online to study almost everything has never been easier, regardless of your location or qualifications. Since the Covid-19 pandemic started in 2020, the digital education has become even more important. It has helped students access essential learning materials and given businesses the opportunity to train staff remotely.

• In the United Kingdom, people aged 25 to 34 were the most likely to enrol in an online course. However, 46% of 18-24-year-olds often use online learning materials, most likely as a result of school lessons being held online during lockdown periods.
• The UK EdTech sector grew by 72% in 2022. The UK EdTech sector is projected to be approximately £3.2 billion in 2021, up 72% from 2020. A survey was conducted to know what respondents liked most about doing their online course. Of the respondents, 84% said that they liked the flexibility of completing an online course compared to in-person learning. Studying at your own pace was another popular answer, with 81% saying they liked this about their online course. Accessibility and less time spent travelling were other common reasons why our students said they liked learning online.
